Scientists from the Syracuse University confirmed that taking a vacation improves the condition of the heart and assists in preventing cardiovascular illnesses.
Taking a vacation improves your heart health
We all need to relax to assist our bodies, minds and souls in keeping healthy, a recent research confirmed.
Looking forward to holiday time is not a crime, but our essential need. As the weather gets warmer and high holiday season gets closer every day, we all start thinking about our vacations and try to plan them – to get a more enjoyable experience of this precious time.
It is surprising, but there are some people among us who are still in doubts about the benefits of recreation time for our health. Hopefully, this information will be helpful to understanding why you need to stop working from time to time and take a few weeks off.
How to improve your cardiovascular health
A recent study carried out by a group of the Syracuse University researchers found that holidays are beneficial not only for our general wellbeing, but also for the health of our heart.
In the words of Bryce Hruska, an assistant professor at Syracuse University’s Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics, “People who have frequent vacations during a calendar year are less prone to metabolic symptoms. What is more, they are equally less exposed to metabolic syndrome which, in turn is a collection of danger to cardiovascular health”.
“This means that the more a person vacates the less risk he or she has for developing a cardiovascular disease. Moreover, thanks to the fact that metabolic symptoms are convertible, they may alter or disappear”, continues Bryce Hruska.
Take the time to relax when you can
To summarize, by taking a holyday people can reduce their metabolic symptoms, thus lowering the possibility of cardiovascular problems.
Hruska commented that scientists were still learning about the link between holidays and the health of our hearts. But what is essential at the moment is that people should set a high value on vacation periods that are available to them.
“Data resulting from the study showed that out of 80 per cent of full time workers who earned their right to have vacation, less than a half enjoys all the available time off. Our investigation found that if people reconsider their attitude to holidays and vacate as much as they are allowed by their employers, it would be highly beneficial to their health and their hearts”, concludes the scientist.
Where would you go for your next vacation? Maybe, to meet your pretty Ukrainian girlfriend you met online?
