The maximum height of residential and public buildings in Ukraine is currently set to 100 meters (328 feet), but new regulations that had been recently accepted allow to erect structures up to 150 meters (492 feet).
New building standards in Ukraine
The Ukraine Ministry of Regional Development, Housing and Construction has recently approved new state standards for high-rise buildings and complexes.
Their maximum height has been considerably raised and building up to 150 meters are now allowed, Finance.ua reported.
The Ministry has announced that new standards will be published in the near future and will take full effect in three months.
The design of building frames must meet strict requirements for the stiffness of steel and concrete structures as well as slabs’ and girders’ thickness.
Prior to construction, tower models need to undergo mandatory aerodynamic airflow scrutiny. That way the wind impacts on skyscrapers will be controlled and reduced at the design stage.
Apart from that, the Ministry also ordered to include bathrooms in large supermarkets. Surprisingly, this wasn’t a requirement before.
