Travelling by train is still one of the most affordable modes of transportation in Ukraine and now tickets can be booked up to 90 days in advance. Earlier travellers could only purchase tickets 45-60 days before the trip.
Train tickets in Ukraine can now be booked 90 days in advance
Until 1 June 2020 tickets were made available only 45-60 days in advance. From June, people are able to get their seats on trains up to 3 months ahead, Finance.ua reported.
Vladyslav Krykliy, the Minister of the Infrastructure of Ukraine, posted a message about the new availability periods on his Facebook page.
The new system will allow the ministry to add more seats or trains for popular dates and periods, Krykliy pointed out.
Train tickets in Ukraine can be purchased online via its mobile app or site, as well as at the stations.

- Kyiv – Kharkiv
- Kyiv – Lviv
- Kyiv – Dnipro
- Kyiv – Odessa
- Kyiv – Riga (Latvia)
The train services had been temporarily suspended due to quarantine from 18 to 26 May 2020. The services started to operate again from 27 May on selected routes.
