Would you still want to marry a woman knowing she agreed on someone else pretending to be her, communicating with multiple men in your country, collecting cash for gifts and presents sent by all of them?
Condoning dating scams
This is how PPL (pay per letter) sites work. They recruit women promising a share of profits from what they earn by displaying their profiles and falsifying communication, encouraging men to send gifts.
All pay-per-letter agents are doing that, with no exceptions. The agents themselves admit it’s impossible to work without such schemes, because they are unable to make money without defrauding men.
The women who register with the agents (aka ‘Ukrainian brides’) may not have the intention to scam men, but they discover opportunities to ‘make money without doing anything’ and the ones who approve of this approach stay with the agency and profit from scams.
Men send gifts, women get cash
The ex-brides openly admit they were getting cash instead of presents that men were sending to girls.
Women take photographs with gifts and then split the money 50/50 with the agent.
You may think it’s some “bad” agents who are doing it.
Quite the opposite: That’s the norm.
The industry of fake brides is well and blossoming.

Making the choice to benefit from foreign men is a conscious decision that reflects personality of the person. Fake brides know what they are doing.
What is your stand on this issue?
So, ask yourself: Do you really want to marry a woman who agreed to be a tool of defrauding dozens of males living in your country, by allowing someone else to write letters and chats under her name, so that she could collect cash for gifts these men had been manipulated to send?
If such a prospect doesn’t inspire you, stay away from PPL sites and spread the message:
- Never pay for chats, messages, or send gifts via pseudo-dating pay-per-letter websites.
- Talk for free with any woman via Skype, WhatsApp, email, or SMS. All Ukrainian women of marriageable age own a mobile phone.
It is the demand that comes from men that drives this industry to grow and prosper. If foreign men didn’t pay for chats with fake brides, the industry would die out and stopped consuming new young souls.
- If you know someone communicating with a woman in Ukraine, ask if they are charged for every message. If they are, it’s a PPL site.
- This industry supports many families in Ukraine, but it’s a road to nowhere. These people would be much better off learning coding or acquiring other productive skills, which is possible in Ukraine, dubbed “the next India for IT outsourcing”.
These people who are getting pulled into scams could have been doing something positive with their lives. Give them a chance. Stay away from PPL sites.

I would slap these women in the face Elena. These women are such animals for scamming people out of money. These men though are also idiots maybe even brain dead. I would also punch these men in the face for handing over their wallets.

Would I marry a woman that has made mistakes in her life? Only if she would marry a guy who has made mistakes in his life. If she wouldn’t, she’ll be single her whole life.
No way! There are 11 million more Russian and Ukrainian woman than there are men and you pick the one who is a scammer? A leopard doesn’t change their spots so if she is doing this to defraud sincere men out of money to live comfortably what do you think she is going to do to you after she gets her green card? A woman who does this cares nothing about a mans feelings and is only after what benefits her. She will ruin your life.
Personally I would not have a problem, like I would not with many other types of mistakes. This is what economic depression leads to. I have actually dated a Ukrainian woman from EM who was previously employed for bride agency. She could make USD 1,000 per month doing it. You know with Ukraine salaries for doctors, engineers, etc. not being above USD 500, this is employment many would choose. She left the industry because she couldn’t stand it anymore. Lars, I’m bemused at your view that you would marry a woman that trains to commit fraud and purposefully abuse the emotional commitment genuine people go to find a partner, on the principle it’s all about money.
That is a weak position and highlights that you have very low values for yourself and complete lack of empathy and respect to all those being ripped off and abused by these scumbags.
Slightly judgmental in my view… You have to consider the context of scamming. This industry exist due to the financial situation in some FSU countries. Put yourself in their place. What outlook do you think they have compared to same age counterparts in the west? I can tell you it’s zero! In a country like Ukraine life conditions might be improving currently. Lars, to me your response is exactly what these PPL websites respond like, propaganda at the best. Frankly, you have no idea what you are talking about. It’s not a third world country by any means and frankly, the majority of Ukrainians who live well do have legitimate work and enjoy all the opportunities as people in western countries. A good friend of mine in Ukraine is a programmer (just normal basic web site designer) and earns over USD 3,000 a month. The incomes you state are so far off from the norm in Ukraine. Try reading some articles here and do some research. Giving single examples is really not very serious. I could do the same and they would indicate something far from your perception of reality, which is totally wrong! Sure you can find occupations that make nice income. Lars, I think the choice ‘to scam or not to scam’ is a simple moral dilemma every woman is able to answer for herself. Point being, there are plenty of online jobs available worldwide, and this is Ukraine has been dubbed “The new India for IT outsourcing”. Sure it is a moral dilemma. My point being that morality obviously, for many women, take second place when easy money is available. Particularly in times of recession (financial crisis, Euromaidan). Lars, it’s your choice “not to judge the women” and consider online scamming as an acceptable choice of vocation. I don’t. Getting skills and experience is a conscious choice, and so is a person’s participation in criminal activities. Off course it is a choice. No one if forced to do it. It is a suspension of morality. For humans, ends sometimes justify means. To me this is relatively innocent. No where near drug dealing. But the people behind, the masterminds, they are serious criminals for sure. There are ways of getting ahead in Ukraine. You can see it in the big cities.
