Toyota is the most popular brand of cars sold in Ukraine. The popularity of this automotive brand is due to its relatively cheap prices. Overall, the Ukrainian car market has been growing rapidly. 6,800 new cars were sold in Ukraine in the month of April 2018.
Most popular brands of cars in Ukraine
Toyota cars are the most popular among Ukrainians. Renault and Volkswagen come second and third, Finance.ua reported.
Here is the rating:
- Toyota — 852 cars (+ 5% compared to last year)
- Renault — 676 cars (- 12%)
- Volkswagen — 611 cars (+ 70%)
- Hyundai — 441 cars (+ 26%)
- Audi — 404 cars (+ 64%)
The best-selling model is crossover Renault Duster. In total, 26.1 thousand new cars were sold since the beginning of the year, which is 12% more than in the first four months of 2017.
As we reported earlier, 29% of Ukrainians are unable to buy a car due to financial circumstances. However, they consider it a high-priority need along with personal computers, healthcare services and annual vacations.
