People who are taking trips to amazing destinations while we have to work are irritating just because they exist. (Although right now most of us are in mourning because of all the lockdowns and cruising around the world looking like a distant past for many of us, but hey, this isn’t going to last forever. A recent online poll in Russia reviewed the issue of annoying photos we have to endure on social media, taken by friends and family on vacations. Here is the list of top types of holiday photos Russians find positively infuriating or mildly irksome.
42% of Russians are never annoyed by photos from vacations
Apparently, most people do find certain types of travel shots maddening, but the most popular answer among respondents of Tutu.ru was, “I am never annoyed by photos of vacations and enjoy viewing them”.
Among the pictures of vacationing friends that cause aggravation among viewers were:
- Feet or legs on the background of a swimming pool, sea or beach: 19%. This is the most maddening type of pictures, apparently! (As featured on top of this post.)
- Plates of food: 16%. (They must be on a diet.)
- Pictures from the lift, bathroom, or hotel room: 7%. (Well, bathrooms, sure. Lifts, maybe. But a hotel room? It’s mostly OK, we think.)
- Photos in swim suites: 3%. (What?! Give us more of those, we don’t mind.)
- Pictures that don’t include people: 3%. (Well, those are sometimes the prettiest!)
10% of respondents are annoyed by any photo from someone else’s vacation. Along with those annoyed by photos in bikinis (3%), there are a lot of jealous people, apparently! (Well, right now, add us to this cheerless bunch.)
The ones annoyed by shots of legs on the background of sea or swimming pool could be sophisticated lovers of the art of photography, so, let’s not judge those too harshly. Maybe the typical holiday shots are simply too tacky for their exquisite tastes.
Why do Russian women love travel pics?
Girls from Russia are known for their penchant to take pics anywhere and spend a lot of time doing it. Coming to a destination with the list of picturesque locations to have a cool shot done to stay forever in social media archives is something that you could expect from a vacation with a pretty Russian girl.
