degree in Belarus

degree in BelarusSeptember is the time when the new study year begins in countries of the post-USSR republics, including Belarus. You may be surprised to find out that Belarus attracts a lot of foreign students who come to get a degree. Prices for foreign students are higher than for locals, but they are still much more affordable than a comparable degree in other destinations.

How much do Belarusian students pay to study?

The cost of education

Belarus internet portal TUT.BY compared tuition costs at leading universities of the country for the 2019-2020 academic year.

  • According to the survey, the highest fees are charged by The Belarusian State University in Minsk, which is also the most prolific place to study in the country, and the State University of Informatics that trains future programmers.
  • Belarusian State University of Economics offers the cheapest option to get a degree in Minsk.

1. Belarusian State University: from 2,636 to 4,183 Belarusian roubles (USD 1,290 – 2,048)

Full-time students of BSU enrolled at the Law, Economics and International Relations faculties pay the highest yearly fees: From 3,642 to 4,183 Belarusian rouble (USD 1,783 – 2,048).

The list of price record-breakers also includes the tuition fees for the Eastern Philology Course where the first year of studies comes to BYN 4,091 (USD 2,003).

Philology Department and the Faculty of Philosophy and Social Sciences have the most affordable charges. For example, Social Work and Philology (Belarusian and Russian Philology) students pay BYN 2,636 (USD 1,290) for their first academic year. For comparison, those who are going to start their studies at Physics, Mechanics and Chemistry faculties will be charged BYN 2,994 (USD 1,466).

The BSU correspondence courses’ students pay BYN 3,349 (USD 1639).

Is it cheap or expensive? University education is completely free in Germany (you still have to buy study books, of course, and live somewhere), which is not far, while offering degrees accepted through the whole of the European Union.

Dating Slavic, Russian, and Ukrainian women in a multicultural and international environment that we share today is far from a mail order brides operation, but is an open and transparent experience of people from different locations connecting and sharing their ideas, thoughts, common goals and aspirations, without prejudice or borders. This blog allows you to learn more about modern life in countries of the former Soviet Union, including Ukraine and Russia, which is, most likely, very similar to what you are used to in your own country. In fact, you have more in common than you probably think.
