Spring is in full swing and summer is coming, which is the highest season for Internet couples to get together after chatting on a dating site.
As we reported last week, very soon Ukrainian women will be able to visit Europe without visas. One of the requirements is to have sufficient funds for the duration of the trip. Let’s find out how much money your sweetheart will need to meet you in Europe.
What Ukrainian girls need to enter Europe?
The visa-free regime for the citizens of Ukraine is expected to be available from June 2017.
It means that Ukrainian ladies won’t be required to apply for a visa to visit European countries (except Great Britain and Ireland, and 4 countries—associated members of the Schengen Area: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland).
However, visa-free entry doesn’t mean no border control. Thus, Ukrainians are expected to provide documents confirming the purpose of the visit and provisions to get back to their home country (a return ticket, for example), KP.ua reports. They also need a biometric passport.
Besides, ladies must have enough money to support themselves for the duration of the journey. This is the requirement that got the most complaints, since the amount of funds needed is seen as too high for Ukrainian girls, considering that official local wages are around $200-300 a month.
Each European country has different requirements for visitors. Some only require a provision of USD $3 per day but others as much as USD $128.

I really welcome this move by the European Union. It will make it a lot easier to invite a prospective wife/partner for a vacation to the many European countries. Naturally, I would like to visit a lady in her own country first. I we like each other and if the chance for a relationship seems good, I would then invite her to Germany and I would try to give her as good an idea as possible about the way of life there. I am German, but have resided mostly in Canada for the last 30 years. Inviting a lady to… Read more »
I don’t think it’s possible to invite your fiancée to Canada but only a wife. This was the process that our successful couples had to go through.
In regard to express marriage in Ukraine, many countries offer same-day registrations. It doesn’t mean you marry in a hurry without checking compatibility. Naturally, older people tend to be more patient, while for young women a 1-month wait may seem unbearable. In any case, once you are sure this is the right person for you, it doesn’t hurt to have this option 🙂
Does she really need money? The man can simply in his letter state that he will pay all expenses and living cost for the stay, I think this will be enough?
Kenneth, isn’t it easier to simply obey the rules, rather than try to find a way around? 🙂 If a Ukrainian girl is turned away at the airport, because you suggested she doesn’t need any money but just a letter from you, do you reckon she will still be in awe of you?
Elena,
So if my Ukrainian GF has a biometric passport, Shengen insurance and the funds you mentioned above, booked holes and return air tickets she should have no issues visiting Spain, France and Italy? Also I am a Canadian, would it help or am I allowed to accompany her with the customs agent or is she better off going alone ?
Eric,
I am not a consultant on questions of visas, border control or how much money Ukrainian girls need to visit Europe 🙂 Check forums where people discuss this type of questions or better still, official pages of authorities of these departments.
Hi,
I am from Italy and I would like to invite here a girl from Ukraine.
A friend of mine told him that, if the girl doesn’t have sufficient funding to come and instead of sending her money (which sometimes ends up with the girl taking it and not coming!), yo can fill the “Invito Dichiarazione di alloggio” (Invitation and Housing declaration) that you can find at this link http://www.ambkiev.esteri.it/ambasciata_kiev/it/in_linea_con_utente/modulistica
It is similar to the ” letter of guarantee from the receiving party” that Germany allows.
Do you think it can work? Thank you!
Gio, if it’s official, it should work. However, according to reports officials don’t even ask about money on the border when people enter the European border. Anyway, if you invite a girl to visit for a weekend, there is no need for you to send money. Tickets are so cheap. (Check flyua.com) Just offer her to reimburse her when she arrives. She can find money for tickets and what is needed per day—IF she really wants to come and see you. Besides, you can go and see her for a couple of days as well. You don’t need a visa.… Read more »
