Due to the requirement to self-isolate Russians had to start working from home, which was a novel experience for many people. The need to do their jobs without coming to an office brought many challenges and complaints, with 6% of respondents stating it was too much communication with the spouse for their liking, according to a recent survey.
What do Russians complain about working from home due to the need to self-isolate?
An online poll by Tutu.ru asked respondents what were the minuses they found in working from home. People could only pick one answer from the list, so these were the things that obviously annoyed some Russians the most.
While overloading on communication with the husband or wife scored the least of all the other issues on the list (6%), there are apparently enough people who’d rather toil in the office than talk to the family members.
- The top issue pointed by 29% of respondents was eating too much and moving too little.
- The second issue that 1 in 5 respondents found the most annoying was the fact they became less productive due to many interruptions accompanying their home-based efforts (19%).
- 17% of survey takers aren’t happy about the lack of time to start and end the working day, because this resulted in too many hours spent of tasks.
Coffee machines and sweets are missed by 8% of respondents, who see it as the most annoying part of not attending the office. The same share of participants miss chatting to colleagues.
