Because of pandemics, many employees in Russia had to work remotely, permanently or some days. A recent survey revealed that 2 out of 3 workers who are doing their job from home find it convenient.
Russians who work remotely don’t miss colleagues
There are only 11% of workers in Russia who are still doing their jobs remotely, up from 4% before the pandemics. 75% of respondents are attending an office or their jobs aren’t at a fixed place (bus drivers, for instance).
Further 12% work remotely some days while attend offices on others (up from 6% prior to pandemics).
In general, 64% of these respondents who perform their jobs remotely (all the time or some days) find it convenient. In Moscow and St. Petersburg 75% of participants find it convenient (many residents of capitals have to spend hours getting to and from jobs, this may explain it).
Most people who work remotely (52%) feel that there are about the same number of advantages as disadvantages in remote employment. 25% of participants feel there are more advantages, while 20% of users believe there are more disadvantages.
Whopping 15% of those who are working from homes shifted their residence to another town. (Many Russians own second homes in the countryside, aka “dacha”, which became a trendy escape during pandemics.)
Most Russians who are doing remote work feel that their working day didn’t become longer (56%), while 65% of people point out it became flexible. 64% of remote employees don’t feel it’s harder to work at home because of distractions.
49% of people found it easier to organize their schedule at home, while 47% feel it became harder.
Surprisingly, most locals (62%) didn’t find it harder to perform because they are not with their colleagues (33% found it harder).
45% of respondents feel they became more effective at home and able to do more within a day. The same share of people (44%) hold the opposite view.
However, only 8% of the remote employees would prefer to continue doing their jobs from home. 65% would rather come to an office, while 23% would prefer to mix remote and office shifts.
