You probably have already heard about the most important event of May 2018, the royal wedding. Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle got married in a ceremony, attended by who-is-who of world’s sport, fashion, and culture.
The wedding of the century?
It is not surprising that the fairy-tale story of British prince and an American woman captivated female minds all over the world. Russian and Ukrainian girls are not exceptions. Everyone loves a fairy-tale.
It’s a good thing.
You know, Russian ladies also believe that marrying a foreigner is in a way a fairy-tale. Yes, marrying a foreigner is still considered prestigious in Russia, as we reported a few weeks ago.
This is why, in a way, many women think “it’s too good to be true” when a nice western man contacts them. Don’t you too have this feeling when you are talking to a lovely Russian lady?

American preacher
American preacher Michael Curry added some spice to otherwise very predictable wedding ceremony. His feisty speech went over the time limit and caused quite a few smiles in the audience, including the groom and the bride.
Some reporters said the priest hijacked the wedding. But I think it added a nice touch of love and laughter that was more than appropriate. It was an unusual wedding and an untraditional speech.

Is it even appropriate?
The newlyweds picked the title of Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
I don’t know if it’s only me, but does it really sound a bit like “sass sex”? If you think it does, do you think they didn’t notice it or picked this name on purpose?

The ceremony is finished. It went really well! The queen should be happy.

What I really thought of, while watching this beautiful royal ceremony, is that unusual weddings are actually inappropriate in the UK. This country differs a lot from other ones since British people cherish their old traditions. And I believe it changes the angle from which we should see such events into less serious. That’s why Queen Elisabeth’s dissatisfaction took place. In general, the wedding is amazing, but this details breaking traditions isn’t so good, to my mind.

Seems like the whole world is moving on and forward, and Russia is stuck and backward? 😉
Almost everybody in France watched the wedding, not my because I was elsewhere and had other things to do. Rather surprising that the queen accepted this marriage, but she had many problems at the moment of Diana’s death and now has to deal with a different world. Will this couple be stable ? Only time will show it. Personally I prefer by far Kate and William.

There a lot of contrary feelings about their wedding. It’s good to see them, because they seems happy, falling in love, obsessed with each other. But I don’t know how they are going to get along with royalty. They are two rebels, I don’t meant that it’s a bad thing. However, if you have ever seen “The Crown”, you understood me.
As for me, I Think that Prince Harry and Meghan match each other perfectly. They are such a beautiful couple, they have lots in common and you can see the genuine happiness in the way they look at each other, in their smiles in their words. We know that Queen Elisabeth didn’t approve of this marriage but may be Britain is way too conservative and it’s high time to change something?
