A new study presented at the Congress of the European Society of Cardiology declared that a 25-minute walk daily is able to prolong your life for up to 7 years.
In the study by German scientists, males and females aged from 30 to 60 who hadn’t regularly worked out previously were introduced to various exercise routines. The researchers from Saarland University in Germany selected people who didn’t smoke and were generally healthy, to measure key markers in the blood that are suggestive of the aging process on the DNA level.
Within 6 months the key blood markers of participants demonstrated that the ability of DNA to repair itself was increasing, thus confirming that regular exercise slows down the aging process on the cellular level.
Regular moderate exercise reduces the risk of dying from a heart attack by 50% for those aged 50-70, said Sanjay Sharma, the professor of sports cardiology in London’s St. George’s University Hospital. This would allow a person to gain 3 to 7 additional years of life, reported UK’s Telegraph.
Exercising also makes people happier, working as a natural anti-depressant, according to the cardiologist. Researchers stated that any type of physical activity on a regular basis would also be able to prevent an early onset of dementia and improve a person’s cognitive ability, confirming that while it’s impossible to avoid aging completely, we are able to slow it down.
The scientists emphasized that it’s never too early or too late to start exercising, and the benefits are measurable within several months.
The more active you are, the more beneficial it is to your health. According to Peter Weissberg from the British Heart Foundation, 150 minutes of exercising weekly would assist people in staying healthy.
Previous research by the Italian Society of Sexual Medicine demonstrated that regular sex helps men to improve their longevity, perk up their metabolism and testosterone production, and avoid depression. However, the benefits could be negated by infidelity, which causes high levels of anxiety, and leads to poor cardiovascular fitness due to the constant presence of stress hormones in the blood.
In short, any type of physical activity will help you live longer, with sex being a more pleasurable way of increasing your heart rate, and walking the simplest method of getting regular exercise for singles and couples alike.
Men in relationships are healthier, confirmed another research.

This is interesting. So far my gadget only has the option of S Health that counts my steps and measures my blood pressure. Now i wonder if the new function of sex counter will appear after next upgrade. How long should i wait? Does anybody know? I’ve got Android if anything.
You would have to keep your phone strapped to your body as when you go for a jog I guess 🙂
I read research, which claims that till 40 years old it is nesessary to pass in day not less tgat 12 000 steps, and after 40 not less that 10 000 steps to be in nice fit. Pedometer helps to consider steps very much. I know, there are many special apps for smartphones, which consider steps. I use NoomCoach, it is easy and exact.
