Prices for real estate in Kiev, Ukraine, depend on the area: More expensive in the city centre, cheaper in the outskirts. In newly erected buildings in the Ukrainian capital cost per square meter can range from 20,000 to 140,000 hryvnia (USD 723-5.064).
Cost per square meter of new apartments in Kiev, Ukraine
Strojobzor releazed a report on average prices per square meter in newly erected buildings in various areas of the capital. For illustrative purposes a map of subway stations was used.
- Pechersky district is the most expensive. The average price per square meter here is 55,647 UAH ($2,012).
- Shevchenko district was second: 35,472 UAH ($1,283).
- Goloseevski district is at the third place: 30,681 UAH ($1,109).
- Obolonski district: 26,436 UAH ($956).
- Dneprovsky: 25,210 UAH ($911).
- Svyatoshinsky: 25,035 UAH ($905).
- Solomensky: 23,274 UAH ($841).
- Podolsky: 23,025 UAH ($832).
- Darnitsky: 22,328 UAH ($807).
- Desnyanski: 20,620 UAH ($745).
The average prices could be misleading though: The class of the buildings can differ greatly depending on the location. Buildings in the centre are likely to be in the “elite” class, while in the outskirts the quality of materials used will be much cheaper.
Central locations are still the most prestigious in Kiev.
In distant locations such as Borispol the price per square meter drops below 20,000 hryvnia ($723).
