A research revealed how much people working in the money industry earn in Ukraine. Career portal Happy Monday checked wages of Ukrainian specialists employed in the financial sector.
How much people who work in finances earn in Ukraine
The majority of financial specialists are employed (86.6%) as part of the staff while the rest of them are contractors. 3 out of 4 work in the company office and have a structured working day, Finance.ua reported.
- The highest average monthly wages of 57 thousand hryniva (USD 2,000) are paid to financial directors of a company.
- The lowest wages of 15 thousand UAH (just over USD 500) are paid to accountants.
2,8% of respondents are paid in another currency that hryvnia, while further 3.1% of respondents are paid a certain amount in USD, but the payment is made in hryvnia, according to the official exchange rate.

- Auditor: 20,800
- Accountant: 14,900
- Economist: 18,900
- Financial analyst: 26,500
- Financial manager: 38,500
- Financial director: 56,900
Males’ wages are substantially higher: men working in the finance industry earn on average 36,800 UAH, while Ukrainian women employed in the financial sector earn only 17,100 UAH per month.
Even when employed as managers, ladies get much lower remuneration: 41,400 UAH as opposed to 82,000 UAH.
There is no level where females earn more in the financial sector, survey revealed.
Wages also wary greatly by city.
