Turkey remains a popular destination for Ukrainian tourists. Most of them travel to Istanbul, Antalya, and Mugla province.
Over 200,000 Ukrainians visited Turkey in 4 months of 2019
The rise in cost of tickets doesn’t stop Ukrainians who love holidaying in Turkish all-inclusive resorts, Finance.ua reported.
According to the data of the Turkish Ministry of Tourism, for the first 4 months of 2019 (January-April) 211,804 citizens of Ukraine travelled there, which is 13% more than during the same period of 2018.
Turkey remains a popular holiday option for travellers from other countries as well. The number of international tourists wanting to experience the culture and enjoy the nature had risen by 12% as compared to the last year and reached in total 8.7 million visitors in 4 months.
Most popular destinations visited by Ukrainians
The top-3 places that travellers from Ukraine love:
- Antalya: 165 thousand visitors from Ukraine.
- Istanbul: 116 thousand visitors.
- Mugla province (Fethiye, Marmaris, Dalaman, Bodrum) welcomed 4.7 thousand Ukrainians (306% increase to the last year).
