Cheapest apartment in Kiev, Ukraine, cost under USD 30K
Buying a brand new apartment in a capital of the largest country in Europe can be rather affordable.
The cheapest unit in Kiev in a newly constructed building was listed for only USD 25,895, Finance.ua reported. It was a 28 square meter studio in Dneprovsky district.
- A similar sized unit in Karavaevy Dachi was listed at $26,921.
- A 30 square meter smart-apartment (that’s obviously a term) was priced at $29,474.
The list of the top-10 cheapest new apartments included a unit in Parkovy Gorod for $55,369 (44 square meters) and a flat in the complex named Family & Friends for $55,000 (33 square meters).
However, the authors of the rating pointed out that affordable properties in Kiev are hard to find. Most often small and cheap flats are bought off the plan, before the construction began. Having a separate storage unit somewhere in the same building is a popular option as there is not much space in the flats themselves.
Such cheap properties are in demand because many Ukrainians simply cannot afford to pay over USD 30,000 (the average monthly wage in the country is only USD 420).
