It may seem like there are many Ukrainian girls who want to leave Ukraine and marry a foreigner, but in reality there are only several thousands of ladies who are open to starting a relationship with someone from another country, at any given time.

Most Ukrainian girls don’t want to marry foreigners

In fact, most Ukrainian ladies marry local guys. They date them and then if the relationship goes well, marry them.

There are international dating websites like Elenasmodels.com where you can meet women who are open to a relationship with a foreigner. But there are only several thousands of them, and the population of Ukraine is 42 million people. Percentage-wise, it’s not a lot.

Why do some Ukrainian girls want to date foreigners?

You know the saying, “The grass is always greener on the other side”.

It’s the same principle here. Ladies believe that foreign men are nicer and more serious about relationships, treat women better than the local guys.

In a way, there are differences in how people in certain countries behave. In Ukraine, where there are only 86 men for 100 women, guys tend to be somewhat spoiled by all the attention from ladies who compete to get a good boyfriend. Ladies tend to be more loyal to their partners, who in turn have options to pick and choose.

In other countries where the balance between males and females isn’t that huge, there is no such trend when one gender feels much more empowered in choosing a mate.

This is probably another reason why some Ukrainian girls feel like western men are nicer and value relationships more.
