The 4-door sedan Toyota Corolla that is sold in many countries, including Russia, had gained 8% in the sales volume as compared to 2018. More than 1.2 million automobiles was sold in 2019.

Another Toyota bestseller, crossover RAV4 gained 19% in the volume of sales. Nearly 1 million new automobiles were delivered to owners during the last year.

Another creation of Japanese designers, Honda CR-V, is at #3 of the rating: 831 thousand of vehicles sold (14% gain).

Hatchback Ford F-150 is at #4, with over 749,000 autos sold. In fact, it’s the only non-Japanese model in the bestsellers’ rating. The rest of the top-10 comes from the land of the rising sun.

Hatchback Nissan Sentra scored the fifth place on the list: 722 thousand units sold (5% increase).

Customers purchased 708,000 of Toyota Camry (+5%); 674,000 of Nissan X-Trail (-10%), 4-door Honda Civic (666,000; +2%); Honda HR-V (626,000; -4%); Honda Accord (597,000, +15%).

Reliable and affordable, that’s the reason why Japan models are conquering the world.

In Ukraine, KIA Sportage was the most popular in 2019 with over 5.4 new vehicles registered, Columbauto reported. Another crossover Renault Duster is also popular with Ukrainians: 4.7 thousand sales. Third most popular automobile is also from Renault, almost 4,000 of units of its Logan model was purchased by Ukrainians in 2019.

In Ukraine and Russia, driving a car is still not a common thing for females. If your Russian girlfriend owns a car, then she lives well by the local standards. Most ladies even in large cities do not drive. In fact, most Russians still don’t own a car.
