

Ukrainian homes are getting pricier
Cheap prices for apartments in Ukraine may soon become a thing of the past, looking at how fast property values are rising.
In the third quarter of 2019 (July-September) prices for newly built apartments were 6.4% higher than a year ago. The secondary market has recorded 11.8% increase.
Dynamics of rising property values:
- New 1-room apartments: 5% increase
- Lived-in 1-room apartments: 11.9%
- New 2-room flats: 6.3%
- Old 2-room flats: 12.4%
- New 3-room units: 10.2%
- Old 3-room units: 11.5%

In just one year the average cost per square meter in new high-rises in Kyiv region went up by 7%. It’s substantially lower than in the capital: Only 13,500 hryvnia per square meter (USD 541), or two times cheaper than in Kyiv itself.
