They may be more determined to change their lives and prepared to move abroad but they won’t jump on any man just to leave the country. Women want a genuine relationship, first of all.

I am sorry to hear about your experience. I know this is probably the last thing you want to hear right now, but you may have been lucky to not get involved with someone who obviously didn’t feel as strongly about you as you felt about her. she got cold feet this is more common in women than you think, she was most likely putting things on the balance and trying to figure things out, unfortunately it looks like she is was way too analytic and bad at decision makings, frustrating she was not open about this until you were already there. Good question! Most Ukrainian women looking for someone abroad most likely had given consideration to a possible migration to the country of their future partner. Hi Elena. Maybe I can help a little out with this question. Not long ago (about a week in before I write this) I went to Lviv to meet a lady (she came all the way from Kharkov). I’m astonished that most people don’t check that Ukraine in particular is having a serious crisis at the moment. Unemployment is rising very fast and many of the women on this site and others are changing their addresses as they flee various trouble spots, particularly in the Donbass. Yes I absolutly agree with coment Alex about situation in Ukraine. I live in Kiev and know how difficult live for ukrainian people now but we have other side. I have my concern of travelling to Ukraine as well. I did ask the lady if it’s still safe few months ago while she was still living in the eastern part of the country. She constantly worried about her own personal and family safety but eventually she made a long trip to Kiev where she finally settled. Obviously, living in Kiev is safer than those eastern part of it, but with the ongoing uncertainty of the situation there, no one really knows what is going to happen next. Basically you are saying to men, “Don’t go to Ukraine right now.” “Try to meet your lady elsewhere.” Obviously this would be the safest advice but your lady might not yet feel comfortable traveling to another country to meet you. Brent, if you still want to travel to Ukraine, choose a meeting place fartherst from problems, such as Lviv or Odessa. Book a good hotel. Give them a ring and ask if there is anything else they could advise, they will know better locally.
Ukraine is a good country, it should be visited. It is possible to see various architectural buildings, in Odessa to relax, but to live in this country today is quite difficult. Still there are military operations, a low wage, not enough work, big increase in prices. So it is better to go to Ukraine when everything settles back to normal.

Well, if you are looking for “adventures” go to East of Ukraine, but West, Central and South are totally safe. Big cities like Kiev, Odessa, Lviv – they are beautiful and unique in their styles. Or you can try our sea coast for summer…just be sure to skip the winter lol
