If you are holidaying in Russia, the cost of a health resort by the sea is only USD 50, including the room, food, and treatments.
Cheap and healthy holidays in Russia
This year Russians were forced to stay within the country’s borders, so local resorts were about the only available option.
The cost of staying in a health resort by the sea is affordable by western standards with the average price of only USD 50 per day (3,600 rubles), Lenta.ru reported.
The price includes not only accommodation and meals, but also a treatment plan designed by a medical doctor and procedures such as massages and spas.
Prices are about the same in all southern regions (in rubles):
- Crimea: 3,400
- Rostov: 3,550
- Krasnodar: 3,560
- Astrakhan: 3,650
- Volgograd: 3,700
In USD, it is about 47-51 dollars.
Russians were able to start holidays in June 2020 when the places holding a medical license opened their doors. In July, all other health resorts were able to accept tourists.
Cheap accommodation places for tourists can be found in all regions. Local prices at a tourbaza (“tourist base”) are even cheaper. If you are planning a visit to Russia, ask your lady friend to book one for a few days. The accommodation is pretty basic, but many such places are in stunning locations by a lake or in the mountains. It could be a great experience to try together.
Most Russian women have been to a tourbaza as kids or in their youth. Many of them spend time there as young adults as well. For you, it could be “back to basics” type of experience. In any case, it will be fun and a great test to see how you both as a couple handle different type of situations!
