In the Russian culture, flowers and gifts are essential to starting a relationship. Many Russian women feel like the man doesn’t like her if he doesn’t bring flowers for her to their first actual date in person and doesn’t send a bouquet within the first few weeks of communication.

It’s just a token of your genuine interest, that’s all it is. If you like this girl, she wants to know that.
