Summer of 2020 is unlike any season during previous years, but 1 in 3 Ukrainians still plan to travel during their vacations.
Where do Ukrainians plan to travel for vacations in summer 2020?
Segodnya.ua asked its online users about their plans for summer vacations. Most Ukrainians decided to cancel any such plans for 2020: over 65% of poll respondents intend to spend their holidays at home.
- At the same time, over 13% of respondents expressed a desire to take a trip overseas. It’s possible: Turkey opened up its resorts to Ukrainians, as well as Montenegro, Bahamas, Serbia, Tunis, and Croatia. All in all, 6 countries opened their borders to Ukrainian tourists in July.
- Some other countries are accessible with a mandatory 14-day isolation (Lithuania is one of them).
- From 16 July Bulgaria also allowed entry to Ukrainians.
- The same share of users are going to vacation locally at popular Ukrainian resorts.
- Further 7% of respondents plan to explore less known destinations within their own country.
There is a lot of tourist activities within Ukraine that became popular during the pandemics. Trips to farms and less known destinations are picking up in popularity, as well as coastal holiday resorts in small towns.
