According to a poll by a recruitment portal Superjob, 59% of Russian users hope for a pay rise in 2021.
Over half of Russians wish to get a pay rise in 2021
Hoping to get a rise may not guarantee a larger pay check, yet over half of Russian respondents expressed such expectations in a recent poll, Lenta.ru reported.
Among people earning 30-50 thousand rubles monthly (USD 405-675) there were 66% of respondents expecting a rise.
Both men and women think they will be getting a higher salary in 2021 (60% and 59%).
- 29% of Russian respondents would like to get a promotion.
- 25% wish for new, exciting tasks and projects.
- At the same time, 8% of respondents said they don’t expect anything at their place of work.
Stability is what 36% of participants want to have at work, while further 26% wish to work under a good manager.
Russians are still calculating salaries monthly, not weekly or hourly. Minimum wages are listed as a monthly figure, and average salaries are also analysed by officials statistics in the monthly equivalent.
Wages in Russia are highly dependent not only on the industry and position, but also on the location where a person lives. In Moscow a secretary may be earning 100 thousand rubles, while in a small regional town a senior accountant could be getting only 15,000 rubles per month.
