Most foreigners don’t feel the urge to learn some Russian, even if they are dating a lady who was born in Russia. Why bother if she can speak English?

As you may know, all Russians have to learn a foreign language at school for 6 years and then if they attend college or university, it’s another 5 years of compulsory studies. 7. Kak nastraenie? (How’s your mood?) — a typical question similar to “How are you?” in Russia.
8. Nastraenie super (My mood’s is superb) — a good answer to the question #7.
9. Davaj pozhenimsya (Let’s get married) — that’s the name of a popular TV show in Russia; if you say this phrase, she will be definitely laughing.
10. Kanezhna, siriozna! (Of course, I am serious!) — If you tell her the phrase #9, she will probably ask if you are serious or kidding. Tell her “kaneshna, siriozna!” to confuse her even further. (Do it only as a joke, to propose properly, you use different phrases.)
