2 out of 3 people of Ukraine have fears about coronavirus, although some Ukrainians are more afraid than others, a recent poll revealed.
Ukrainians about coronavirus fears
A recent online poll by Segodnya.ua revealed that while 1 in 4 Ukrainians aren’t scared about the situation with coronavirus and further 14% are even joking about it, the majority of people have fears.
Ukrainians were asked how often do they feel fear because of coronavirus.
- The most popular option that 3 in 10 people selected was, “Periodically, but I cope.” (29%)
- 13% of respondents said they don’t have time for fears and vice versa, they are trying to calm down others.
- 12% of locals stated they have the nerves of steel and never feel fear.
- 12% of respondents worry often, because everything is unstable.
- 8% of survey participants couldn’t give a definite answer and picked the option, “Not sure”.
- Nearly 8% of respondents said they worry all the time as if it were the end of the world.
- Jokers were given the options, “I am trolling those who are scared” (nearly 5%) and “When I cannot call the Batman” (8%).
All in all, 1 out of 3 respondents to the poll didn’t express high concern about the situation, while the other two thirds experience various degrees of apprehension from time to time or often.
Ukraine in quarantine
The quarantine was enacted in Ukraine on 12 March and has been extended until 11 May, Fakty.com.ua reported. From 12 May, some restrictions may be eased, the authorities stated, unless there is another jump in the rate of infections.
