In every country there are some people who want to leave. Even in the USA, UK or Australia some people move to other locations around the globe in search of a better life. It’s just the meaning of what “a better life” is for each person that differs.
Talking about Belarus women, just because the population of country is rather small, the number of such individuals will be lower as compared to Russia or Ukraine.
What percentage of Belarus women want to leave?
It’s always hard to give such numbers, even when there are polls that ask this question. The desire to leave the county expressed in a poll asking hypothetic questions may never eventuate in anything real.
Also, some women may wish to leave Belarus, but unable to do it because of ageing parents or other issues that keep them attached to the locality.
In every location only a tiny percentage of people consider immigration, regardless of their life circumstances.
Belarus women who want to leave the country and do something to actually accomplish this goal will be a miniscule minority. However, they do exist; just like every country has people wishing to move elsewhere.
Even Arnold Schwarzenegger who grew up in a relatively well-off country of Austria talked about his dissatisfaction with prospects of living in a small European country with little houses and farms, and was drawn to majestic landscapes of American skyscrapers.
Many Belarus women may have similar dreams of discovering something bigger beyond their usual existence that seems mundane, and finding an exciting new place to fulfill their aspirations.
Oftentimes, the tighter is the country’s regime, the fewer people move away to other destinations, although you’d think it would be the other way around. Think North Korea, for example. It’s probably as tight a regime as you can imagine, but there is no emigration as such.
Sure, Belarus isn’t North Korea. But it definitely isn’t a bona fide democracy, and to the extent it isn’t, the immigration sentiment may be present, but not openly advertised. This makes it hard to say what percentage of Belarus women would like to leave for another country.
If you’d ask my opinion, I’d say, possibly, about 10% of single women would consider such opportunity, given the chance of finding love with a foreign man. Others would be too hesitant for various reasons.
But it doesn’t mean that all these ladies would be on dating sites trying to find love. Not all single people wishing for a partner have time or desire to invest effort and time right now in search for a match.
But those women from Belarus who join international dating sites like Elenasmodels.com are certainly open to finding love abroad.
