Over 77% of Ukrainians want to work abroad
Wages in Europe are much higher than people in Ukraine can hope to earn. During the quarantine, 9% of people started thinking about finding a job in another country, a recent poll by Segodnya.ua revealed.
Over 51% of people who took part in the online poll said they are thinking about moving abroad for good, not just temporarily.
Nearly 7% of respondents already had the experience of finding a job in another country and would like to do it again.

In 2014, Crimea, an autonomous republic of Ukraine had been taken over by Russia after a speedy referendum arranged within 2 weeks amidst the presence of unmarked troops, which Ukrainian officials believe to be Russians. It is from that point in time that separatist movements in the East of Ukraine become more vocal and demanded autonomy.
Since then, Ukrainians don’t feel completely safe and this could be another reason why people think of moving to another country for good, in addition to low wages and economic instability.
