Possibly, they think it’s too simplistic or silly, so they just shrug it and do what they are used to doing.

- It’s her birthday or another holiday? Don’t even worry what to buy for a present, flowers are Russian girls’ best friend. (Unless, of course, she told you openly what she wants for her birthday, in this case just give her what she wants… Plus a bouquet of pretty blossoms!)
- Visiting her parents? A bouquet for the mother and a bottle of hard liquor for the father — and they think you are the right guy for their daughter.
- You did something wrong and she is upset? You know how to fix it, right? Of course, buy a bunch of flowers!

Are there ladies in Russia who don’t love flowers?
There are some ladies who may not be completely crazy about flowers, like the vast majority of female population of Russia. But even they won’t be mad at you if you brought her a bunch of gorgeous roses.
Yes, there was a guy who met his girlfriend on Elenasmodels.com, and they were planning to meet. His girlfriend asked him whether he heard about Russian girl’s penchant for flowers, and he said he had. She told him that she used to work as a florist and had enough of the various blossoms, so he didn’t need to do that for her.
