Women with traditional family values exist and you can meet them easily on dating sites online. That’s the good news. The not so good news are that these wonderful women aren’t probably in your country and it may take some effort to build a great relationship.

Where can I meet women with traditional family values?

There are obviously women with traditional family values in your country as well, but if you haven’t met them until now, this could mean you aren’t crossing with this type of ladies in real life.

For instance, living in certain locations people tend to adopt the local views and values. It’s just natural. You know that people think quite differently in Alabama and New Jersey. Differences in views between New Yorkers and residents of Los Angeles are legendary.

Even greater differences in values and views are between countries.

This is why certain countries are known for traditional family values, while others are famous for modern agendas.

For instance, women from Russia are brought up to seek happiness in the role of a mother and wife. These views permeate the whole cultural landscape and history. Russian ladies want to be mothers and wives rather than climb the corporate ladder and get promotions.

It may sound strange to you, but if you talk to Russian girls, they find it hard to understand why a woman would want to work and have no family, if she could be a wife and a mother, taking care of family and kids. Ladies from Russia think it’s weird when a female doesn’t want to get married and raise a family.

It is the question of beliefs and cultural perspectives.

Values change and evolve

You can compare views of modern Russian women to the values held by females in 1950s in the USA.

• In modern Russia, it’s seen appropriate for a female to aspire to get married and have kids, and have little interest in career promotions. In western countries, it’s seen as weird or even non-progressive.
• But Russia went through the experience of total equality of men and women during the times of the Soviet Union, when females had to work outside the home as much as males. Once the USSR collapsed, the society bounced back to the traditional family values, which was embraced by women, who were unhappy in the totalitarian Soviet state, imposing the mandatory equality.

In other words, Russian females had the experience when they had to seek achievements and promotions outside of home, and this was ordered by the state. The Soviet government started to impose such views since 1917 and it was the rule until 1991.

But once the USSR broke down, the ideas of mandatory equality started to crumble, too.

It’s not to say that Russian women totally don’t want education or career, but they value it less than having a family. Family comes first, always. That’s the difference.
