Dating applications of today have plenty of features and they definitely offer more safety than chatting with a stranger in a bar. But you may still feel they lack some things you’d like to see.
The features modern dating applications lack
Of course, it would be nice to have a verification feature, so you know you are indeed talking with this person and not their younger brother or a group of friends, who grabbed his phone when he went to the bathroom.
Having said that, users should realize that there is only so much mobile dating apps can include. It’s a piece of software that you download to your mobile, so the file cannot be giant in size, thus it’s impossible to include all features you may dream of.
- Most dating applications connect to HTTPS servers rather than HTTP, which adds a layer of security. It improves safety of your data, as it is fully encrypted when communicated to a server. This is now the industry standard, which major websites have already embraced (for example, Elenasmodels work this way).
- Usability continues to improve. Developers manage to add features that users want while keeping the app robust.
Even if you may think you’d like some additional trinkets, the major point of any mobile dating application is to make connection with other singles easy and quick.
That’s what allowed apps to take over traditional dating sites, which had to develop additions to their structures to keep users.
It’s all about convenience and speed!
If the app is quick and easy to use, no matter what other bells and whistles you think you’d like to add, it could only make it worse (slow it down, increase the size of the file). At the end of the day, it’s not about the app’s features but about people whom you can find in this particular database.
A major point isn’t swiping left and right or now many people you are able to contact in a day. If there is no right person for you, or if it’s too hard to figure out who wants the same things as you (if you want something more than just hanging out in a bar and get drunk and then jump in bed), then it may me of no use for you. Finding the right person is the key!

I like dating sites better than dating apps because I am looking for something more serious than drinking in a bar, and jumping into bed. I think all dating apps, and sites should have photo verification, knowing the person you are talking to looks the way they are saying would stop a lot of problems with online dating.
Apps cannot be secure, that is not in they principe (opposed with old style programs on pc). Apps are easy to use, ready to use, “easy and quick”, do things with one finger touch. Same as new “app style” programs for win8.1, win10.
