Pandemics created a new online shopping industry. Two Ukrainian women started up a store where people can purchase digital designer outfits to take photos for social networks.
Non-existing clothes you can wear in digital world
Social networks and photo memories became a way for many people to show off their taste and fashion-forward creativity, but it has a few drawbacks. First, designer outfits are outrageously expensive, and second, the clothes are polluting the Earth.
Moreover, when the world is in a lock down, there is no way to show off by going to events or restaurants.
Two Ukrainian women, Daria Shapovalova and Natalia Modenova, launched the digital clothing company Dress X in the midst of pandemics. You can’t touch the outfits, but you are able to wear them for photos.
The online store selling electronic versions of clothing offers designer brands as well as some unique styles.
The advantages are plentiful:
- Clothes always fit.
- No need to wait for delivery.
- Eco friendly.
- Anyone can wear it.
“We strongly believe that the amount of clothing produced today is way greater than humanity needs”, Dress-x.com website states.
“We share the beauty and excitement that physical fashion creates, but we believe that there are ways to produce less, to produce more sustainably, and not to produce at all. At a current stage of Dress-X development, we aim to show that some clothes can exist only in their digital versions.
“Don’t shop less, shop digital fashion.”
You can get a fashionable electronic T-shirt for USD 30 and larger outfit may cost $200.
