2020 isn’t your usual year and school holidays are also are unusual. Booking service Tutu.ru asked its users about their plans for autumn holidays in October.
1 in 2 Russians will spend time at home or dacha during school holidays
Staying home is always the most typical response when it’s about school holidays, simply because it doesn’t require any special arrangements. 31% of Russia’s users revealed this was their plan, to simply hang out at home.
23% of respondents to the survey plan to get to the countryside and hang out at the dacha or in a village.
Having houses in the countryside is the favourite type of second home ownership in Russia and as many as 46% of locals own a second dwelling outside the city. Usually such dwellings called “dacha” are small in size with limited services: Often there is no running water and toilet is outside, but this is taken as a regular thing for a countryside property.
Taking a vacation within Russia and travelling is in the plans of 8% of locals, while 15% are brave enough to venture overseas. Turkey allows relatively free access to Russians during the pandemics, this is why it’s definitely the preferred spot for a foreign vacation. Prices are also more affordable than at Russian seaside resorts, many locals reckon.
14% of Russian respondents plan to continue digging into the school’s curriculum even during the holidays, while 9% of users revealed their plans to visit local museums and art galleries.
Many Russian women who list profiles at Elenasmodels.com enjoy trips during holidays. But this year such plans may have to be put aside due to the situation in the world. However, some brave couples have met in Turkey and are now applying for a fiancée visa! Love and life go on.
