How much do remote jobs pay in Russia?
The average monthly wage in Russia was officially 49,539 rubles (USD 670) in October 2020.

However, there are some remote vacancies on recruiting websites that offer much more than average remuneration.
- The highest pay check of 300,000 rubles (USD 4,068) monthly is offered to a tender specialist for a building company, whose job involves finding projects online and filing an application. Possibly, the person is only going to earn commissions, so such high level of remuneration isn’t guaranteed.
- A JavaScript coder can earn 200,000 rubles ($2,712).
- 150,000 rubles ($2,034) are offered to a Golang developer.
- Developer of applications for mobile phones could find vacancies with a monthly wage of 150-170 thousand rubles ($2,034-2,305).
- A vacancy for a children psychologist with experience in cognitive therapy has a wage of RUB 160,000 ($2,170) on offer.
- A project engineer can earn RUB 150,000 ($2,034).
There is a special legislation in Russia dealing with remote work that was approved in December 2020. According to this legislation, an employer may order personnel to work from home at his own discretion.
