Russians named the countries they are missing the most after closing borders due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Missing you to bits”
The pandemic brought international tourism to a grinding halt and countries dependent on travelers got hit the hardest. Russian love to globe trot and miss countries they love to visit.
So, where do season travelers would go if they were able to jump on the plain today?
According to the research conducted by popular Russian travel service tutu.ru almost every fifth respondent would like to travel to Italy. The second most desired destination is Spain — 16 % of Russians can’t wait to spend their holidays in this country. 13% of all survey respondents want to visit the three Baltic States — Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.
The Czech Republic and Vietnam are other popular destinations for 10% of Russians. China and Bulgaria received 8% and 6% of all votes respectively. 6% of all the participants are waiting for the resumption of tourism in France or Israel.
The United Kingdom is the tenth most wanted destination for Russian people, the survey shows. 3% of the respondents are looking forward to its borders to finally open up.
